Let us be very very clear .....the stuff going around about the blood moons is really not Biblical.....here is my take on the blood moon....meaning the ONLY Blood moon prophesied in scripture..... Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come. To me this verse is an exact match to the 6th seal in Rev. Rev. 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; In Joel the word BLOOD = dam = masculine noun = 1. blood A. of wine (fig.) and it is used for real blood throughout the Bible….Gen 4:10.. Gen 4:11.. Gen 9:4…are 3 of the 447 times it occurs in 375 verses in the KJV …as real blood. In Rev the word BLOOD = haima = masculine noun = 1. blood of man or animals A. refers to the seat of life B. of those things that resemble blood, grape juice 2. blood shed, to be shed by violence, slay, murder…and when you search to find out how many times this word is used and how it is used in the KJV all the same verses come up as in the Joel verse….447 times it occurs in 375 verses in the KJV …as real blood. Now, the thing that always got me though was the word in Joel “before” and here is what the word means…. BEFORE = paniym = masculine noun = 1. face a. face, faces b. presence, person c. face (of seraphim or cherubim) d. face (of animals) e. face, surface (of ground) f. as adv of loc/temp • before and behind, toward, in front of, forward, formerly, from beforetime, before g. with prep • in front of, before, to the front of, in the presence of, in the face of, at the face or front of, from the presence of, from before, from before the face of Notice letters “f” and “g” …this quite frankly could mean “to the front of” or “in front of” …meaning it happens NOT before the trib can begin but AT the beginning part of the tribulation period. This makes a lot more sense since in the beginning part of the tribulation period we have an exact match for this prophecy..... (Rev 6:12) Cross references are Joel 2:10, 3:1, 3:15, Isa 13:9, 13:10, 34:4-5, Mat 24:29, 27:45, Mark 13:24-25, Luke 21:25…AND Rev 6:12-13….. So, I am of the belief that this is not one we are going to see this side of heaven but will be fulfilled at the time the ONLY blood moon mentioned in the book of Revelation happens………when we are in heaven and Jesus opens the 6th seal…. Rev. 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
