If it doesnt accurately reflect your view, dont say it because there are no other ways to look at debarking. Debarking of dogs in actual terms means devocalising. Devocalising in actual terms means removing the vocal chords of the dog through surgery, cutting away its central means of communication. Try imagining a debarked dog being trapped in a fire, trying desperately to get help but without a voice. Dog barkings arent the only means of nuisance in the middle of the night. And if newborn babies or drunkards create more nuisance, will we be suggesting to de-voice them too?
