Lets contribute to the society A recent Internet rage, the Ice Bucket Challenge, has taken the world by storm. Our own Desi version of Ice Bucket Challenge, the Rice Bucket Challenge, too has gone viral and has helped empower the poor. I’ve read that the founder of Rice Bucket Challenge will receive the Karmaveer Chakra Award for pioneering the programme to feed the poor. I appreciate Sri Manju Latha Kalanidhi’s efforts for initiating this charity drive. I believe that anything, which is good, imaginative and has the human concern at its heart, will find legs. These global Internet drives exemplify how each one of us can contribute to the society in our own way. I appeal to each one of you to do your bit in changing lives of the poor. You can start with your neighbourhood or village and spread the word to your friends and family members. Let’s make this society a better place to live.
