Lets have a discussion about the State Employees Pension Plan. - TopicsExpress

Lets have a discussion about the State Employees Pension Plan. Governor Scott put in place to have the state employees pay 3% into their own pension, which I constantly see state employees complaining about. Of course the pension plan has to be sustainable and will be more reliable for future retirees, at less cost to the taxpayers. Do you agree with this or do you think the taxpayers should fit the whole bill for the state employees pensions. I know the City Of Ocala employees pay 8.5% into their pensions. State employees include teachers, sheriff deputies, fire personnel, probation and parole and others that work for the state. There is an upcoming election for Governor this year and you just get this feeling that these employees believe the taxpayers should pay the whole bill...that 3% is a minor contribution on their behalf...So, what do you think?
