Lets pump the brakes on the Kershaw = Koufax talk already. Kershaw is about to be 1-5 with a 5.2 ERA. Koufax? A 4-3 postseason record might not inspire accolades, but how about a 0.95 ERA, four complete games - including two shutouts - and 61 strikeouts in 57 innings? Sandy Koufax pitched like the Hall of Famer he is in the 1963 and 65 World Series. When the Dodgers swept the Yankees in 63, the left-hander threw two six-hit complete games, striking out 23 batters total. He was even more stellar two years later when the Dodgers beat the Twins. After losing Game 2, Koufax tossed a four-hit shutout in the crucial Game 5, putting the Dodgers up three games to two. He came back for Game 7 on two days rest and was brilliant, pitching another shutout in a three-hit, 10-strikeout gem. Over seven starts in four postseasons, Koufax allowed just 36 hits and had a WHIP of 0.825.
