Lets say you know a team of bank robbers. These bank robbers are pretty well known around the city. They get in close with people who own and work at banks for the sake of robbing them. Everyone knows they do it. Somehow, though, everyone always falls for it. Eventually one of them gets caught. He spills the beans on the others, and is eventually let go until trial. Because of this, one of the other bank robbers comes forward Look, this was all his idea to rob the banks. I, too, am a bank robber but I have seen the err in my way and wish to be friends with everyone in town again even though Ive been breaking the law and weve been boasting about it for months. Why would people forgive this person? What makes this okay?
