"Lets sleep on it" .... Originated in Egypt, thousands of years ago Egyptians had temples for sleeping and dreaming. When confronted with perplex issues that needed a game changing decision they would go to a dream temple and get inspiration on what to do. Serapis a human like god of the ancient world would appear in dreams and guide the worshipers. Today the practice still exists its called an "istikhara" Political rivals in Egypt are reviving an old tradition when not knowing what to do and waiting for a word from ..... Serapis.... Is it by chance that Serapis was created in Alexandria by Europeans to unite conflicting views then (Greeks and Egyptians) No wonder a European envoy to Egypt was the first to break the ice. Ashton meets Morsi. In the mean time Egypt restlessly sleeps on it.
