Lets talk about Ghouls. The blood bond, bar none, is the basis of vampiric power. While the disciplines enable the Kindred to exert power and dominance and to hunt in the short term, the blood bond enables the cursed scion of Caine to utterly enslave man and vampire alike, destroying free will. I love making Ghouls utterly indispensable to vampire PCs, and I love making players twitch and feel like monsters by the way that Ghouls act and become absolute and utter extensions of their vampire masters. To quote - So, my dear Cate? That Rhotweiller dog you love so much? Roxy loves you because your blood is making her love you. She runs to yo and rests her head in your lap and whines because the blood compels her to. See how those pups you rescued from the shelter recoil from you! Why? They know that you are a monster. Your blood is the magic potion which creates false love. That dog you love so much is nothing but a tool. She loves you only for the blood she wants and needs from you, and you love her because she lets you lie to yourself that you are still a good person, not some damned by god fanged monster that destroys everything she touches.
