Lets talk about TROLLS Lets be very clear about this, for as long as there have been social media there have been trolls, but what exactly are they and who gave them the name ? A troll is someone who posts off topic and or inflammatory/insulting comments to a page or individual with the intent to cause a emotional reaction. When the internet was in its infancy people found they could upset people they had never met from the comfort of there own home and they enjoyed it. When this became wide spread they gave themselves the title “trolls” for the simple reason, nobody wants to call themselves a bully. However “bully” is a more accurate description. We describe “bullying” as the use of force or corercion to abuse, intimidate, or to aggressively impose a certain type of domination over others. The behavior is often repeated and habitual. One essential prerequisite is the perception of an imbalance of social or physical power. If that is not the description of a troll I do not know what is, the change in name/defenation was a necessary step for the trolls, so that they can look themselves in the mirror in the morning. When these bullies become more sophisticated and organize there own site or page to mock a whole community they hide behind the word satire. However if these bullies were as intelligent and “world wise” as they make themselves out to be they would know that “satire” is a tool used by the working class to attack the government of the day and large organizations or companies. Therefore attacks mocking or ridiculing the Protestant protesters can not be dressed up as “satire” So, what should you do if you are subject to bullying ? That is simple, Page Admin should ban these animals (however they may engage them first in order to gain information, such as there other identities, as they spout the same bile every time it becomes easy to figure the aliases they use) Non Admin should also block these idiots. On every facebook comment if you hover your mouse over the top right corner of the comment box a x appears. Click that and a drop down menu appears, click on “block user” and importantly click “report”. People, reporting is only a few clicks of the mouse and totally anonymous. That really is all there is too it. The only other thing you can, and should do is talk to others about your experience. Since the flag was removed a community has been created, and we will support each other. If one of us hurts, we all hurt, accept support and solace from the people that have shared the experience with you. We are together against the Councils, we are together against police and we are together against the trolls ! Hopefully we have our message system sorted so if anyone needs to talk about the issue in private, the admin team are a good place to start.
