Letter from E.Scott Borneman An open letter to MR. CLOW, the self-aggrandizing, unqualified to comment on anything but what he visually sees, trespasser whos been making inflammatory statements about the Mount Polley Tailings Dam disaster. Dear Mr. Clow (and I use the respectful title very loosely), How dare you! Where do you get off spouting the bull crap Ive seen posted on your page. Thank you by the way for blocking me from reading anymore of your rants and having to waste my time correcting your falsehoods on your page filled with reactionists with no knowledge of what youre spewing. Where do you get off trespassing on a companys property and then blame them for your supposed wrecked wheelchair, supposed injuries and supposed poisoning that you suffered whilst breaking the law? You spout the company is still poisoning the environment as youve seen it with your own eyes. Yet, you fail to realize the dam breach plug is our number one priority at this point and its not going to happen over night. That priority is the Ministry of the Environments (MOE henceforth) doing by way of their order to the company. The company is complying with that order. These things take time to accomplish and in the meantime the company is not making dime number one. You claim all the water testing is false and that the people of Likely are sheeple for going along with it. Where are your water samples from your illegal incursion, not that theyre worth spit as your not even qualified to determine a spruce tree from a cedar one. You say the MOE isnt giving the people the correct information and that the water is poisonous still, but you fail to realize its not the MOE doing the actual analysis nor most of the sampling. Independent contractors and labs that are accredited for such analysis are. No government cover up or conspiracy there. Dont insult the intelligence of general public with your unqualified innuendos. You say youve seen with your own eyes that the company hasnt done any clean up yet you fail to mention that the mine still has a responsibility to the people that work there to keep them safe and that until the dam breach is shored up, and excess water in Polley Lake (not Lake Polley you dumb jerk) is lowered can safe reclamation begin. No one in their right mind (which apparently does not include you, Mr. Clow) would put life and limb at risk if there not be a need for it. You fail to mention that the company has hired log boom tugs and forestry personnel to help ensure the debris at Quesnel lake get cleaned up. You also fail to mention that there is a company contracted by Imperial Metals doing shore clean up in the affected area and Likely. Im not sorry to hear about your evident self-poisoning and shoulder injury as you apparently arent smart enough to avoid exposure to untested and restricted areas (see mention of areas not safe for work yet mentioned in my previous paragraph), but if youre the crusader you are, you shouldnt have any problem with posting results of your own physical exam and toxicology report for the general public to see. Any sane person would have seen a doctor by now and been tested. So long as that doctors accredited by the board of physicians, Ill believe his/her findings. I sincerely hope you havent poisoned yourself being where clean up hasnt been able to begin yet. As for legal matters, well, if the investigation proves there was indeed culpability on the companys part, I hope an example is made and punishment is handed out. If it can be proven (lots of conspiracy theories here) the MOEM (Ministry of Energy and Mines) or MOE was part of that culpability then you know what, maybe the public should look at the current government we have and make a change. Im all for justice being done, so in your case Mr. Clow, I hope the company files charges against you for trespassing, and libel. I also hope karma comes back to bite you in the ass someday and you pay for all your fear mongering. Thank you all of you who have taken the time to read this...I have but one simple further request...if you are in agreement with my views on the activities of Mr. Clow, please share this post with those you know.
