Letter of Commendation- Fulton Police Department Fulton Police officers Sgt Justin Purcell, Patrolman Doug Love, and Officer Brandon Mayo were commended for their actions by receiving a letter of Commendation from the Chief of Police on September 04, 2014. On Sunday July 07, 2013 at approximately 2341 Hours Officer Doug Love, Sgt Justin Purcell and Officer Brandon Mayo is hereby commended for thier actions while employed with the Fulton Police Department which resulted in the apprehension of a male suspect responsible for attempting to commit suicide and firing shots at the officers. The suspect barricaded inside his apartment and was refusing verbal commands to come outside. The suspect after a brief stand off the suspect exited his apartment and fires shots at the officers. Sgt Justin Purcell, Officer Love, and Brandon Mayo demonstrated a courageous act by standing and dealing with the incident at hand with professionalism and concerns for the citizens of Fulton. Officer Doug Love’s, Sgt Justin Purcell’s and Brandon Mayo’s actions are indicative of the level of character, training and experience which this officer possesses and is indicative of the caliber of personnel employed by the Fulton Police Department.
