Letting Go - 3 Pride According to the dictionary, pride is a high or excessive opinion of ones own dignity, importance, merit, or superiority. When we are severely hurt or abused, we feel inferior to others. Inferiority often ignites a quest to be better than others. Prov. 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. A wounded person is often consumed by pride in order to overcome the pain of self hatred and to mask inferiority. Prov. 11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. Pride perpetuates the cycle of bad decisions. Prov. 29:23 A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. Click the image below to order the full series ©2014 G. Craige Works All Rights Reserved exministries
