From 3554; TWOT 961c; GK 4805; Five occurrences; AV translates as “burning” four times, and “burneth” once. 1 burnt spot, burn scar. - so again the priest will see if there are white hairs coming out of it & it is deeper than skin level than he is unclean & has leprosy; & if there are no white hairs & it is not lower: 8217 שָׁפָל [shaphal /shaw·fawl/] adj. From 8213; TWOT 2445c; GK 9166; 19 occurrences; AV translates as “low” five times, “lower” four times, “base” four times, “humble” four times, “basest” once, and “lowly” once. 1 low, humble. 1a low (in height). 1b low (in station), humble (of condition or spirit). 1c humiliated. 1d lowly (as subst). - (so i guess this section is not saying to cut these spots to see if the flesh is a different texture deeper than the skin, but if the spots in question are depressed in the skin; this section is dealing with inflammations & they would normally be higher so that is what was throwing me off) than the skin & is somewhat dark then he gets the 7 day solitary confinement & after that they check & if it spread it is leprosy & he is unclean but if not than it is just an inflamation:6867 צָרָב, צָרֶבֶת [tsarebeth /tsaw·reh·beth/] n f. This section is when something is wrong with a hairy spot like on your head or beard - when the priest looks at it if it is depressed below skin level & has a yellow thin: 1851 דַּק [daq /dak/] adj. From 1854; TWOT 448a; GK 1987; 14 occurrences; AV translates as “thin” five times, “small” five times, “leanfleshed 01320” twice, “dwarf” once, and “little thing” once. 1 thin, small, fine, gaunt. 1a thin. 1b small, fine. - hair than he is unclean & has a dry scall: 5424 נֶתֶק [netheq /neh·thek/] n m. From 5423; TWOT 1447a; GK 5999; 14 occurrences; AV translates as “scall” 14 times. 1 scab, skin eruption, scall (of leprosy). - or leprosy in his head or beard. If it is not depressed deeper than the skin level & there is no black hair there he gets the 7 day solitary confinement treatment & they check after & if there is no spread or yellow hair & no depression of the skin of it then he gets everywhere else shaved but the zone where the plague was & another 7 days separation & after that the priest will look again & if there is no spread to the skin around it & no depression in the skin than he is clean; wash his clothes & go home. But if there is a spread & the skin around the area; no need to look for yellow hair, he is unclean. But if there is no spread & in fact a black hair grows up in the spot than he is healed: 7495 רָפָא [rapha’, raphah /raw·faw/] v. Interesting that we get the term "Jehovah rapha" from Ex 15:26 & one of the definitions is physician - like i said last time God should be the only doctor we need as He is the one who heals us.
