Levi Guy - Mercer County, Ohio Mr. Guy was enlisted in the 88th Ohio, but learned he could never see any active service in that regiment, this did not suit him. So he deserted and joined another regiment were he could see some real service. After the war with the charge of desertion always showing up, it became a real fight to get the pension he deserved. This was finally resolved Jan. 1889. From what I can tell - 34th Ohio - Mustered in 8/8/61 - April 7, 62 - Co. I, discharged - age 19, Surg. certif. disability. 88th Ohio - age 20 - 7/7/63 as Pvt. Co. K 46th Ohio - Co. A, mustered out July 22, 65
