Lex knew that after all that had gone on she would need to clam the people before leaving. So she dressed somewhat officially and headed out to the city square where soon enough the citizens were surrounding her voicing their concerns. “Your majesty….surely this isn’t the best time to leave…” The mayor stood at the head of one group. Lexi sighed softly.. “I understand your concerns…but I promise you that your safety and lives will remain unaffected by our absence..” “You can’t promise that..we know there is tension and the destruction is obvious…those two are not stable enough to maintain the peace…” Lexi kept her calm and shook her head. “I have complete faith that they are…” The mayor took a deep breath. “No disrespect your majesty..however…we have seen the darkness return …had you never turned black we may believe you…however…” Lexi’s eyes saddened…”I….” At that moment Andy walked through the crowds. His stance regal as murmurs spread through the crowd. Lexi looked and glared at him.. “People of Atlantis…that was my fault…and for that I apologize..as I acted without honor..” His tone held truth as his eyes went to her…she raised an eyebrow. “I am here to make it known that all I wish is for her to be happy..I will not push my hand again…” He bowed as more murmurs went through the crowd. Lexi frowned slightly. “As Queen..I accept your apology…and call an end to this meeting as it has been decided. As of tomorrow morning my sister and Rex act in our place…” Her tone broaching no arguments. The crowd dispersed and she watched then turned away walking back towards the palace. Andy waited and then followed. “You said as Queen…but do you forgive me….” His voice shy..Lexi frowned not looking at him. “No.” Andy rushed in front of her holding his hands up in surrender. “What I did…was wrong…I know….Lexi please…I had to see…you forgive what was done to you so easily…have you ever talked about it? You try and hold everyone together..and it always ends up the same…” She stopped and looked away. “No..and I don’t have to…it’s over.” Andy took a step forward his eyes stayed on her. “Lex.. he broke you…then you shut down! You! I couldn’t believe it…not of you…how much do you have to go through…let me be the one you can talk to…someone who understands you…without reservation..without the whole with and against..” Lexi sighed looking over…”Andy…I appreciate what it is you are trying to say…and this whole keeping track of what’s happening here is kind of creepy.” She smirked. Andy smiled softly. “I never stopped keeping track that’s what friends do…”
