Liberal Mindset When I hear liberals demanding various things, I sometimes wonder what planet they grew up on. It’s hard to understand because I know most of them have compassion and want to help people. I think I have some insight into their thinking. First of all there are natural laws that rule – physical, moral, legal, economic and others. If we were shocked because people kept falling and getting hurt, we could pass a law saying that from now on people will fall slowly and not get hurt. Of course, this is not going to work because the law of gravity works regardless of our understanding and application. There are other natural laws that operate where the consequences are not so sudden, but just as sure. If we believe, in essence, that the federal government reigns supreme, then we would expect that the government should try to fix any pain or suffering anywhere in the world. When people cry for help, their first thought is that the government should help. If they don’t have the resources to fix everything, then they should raise taxes or borrow money to get the power it needs. Liberals want the government to have more power and get involved in every detail of every person’s life. The POTUS is seen as the most powerful position in the world and liberals dedicate themselves to help Washington get more power so it can put an end to every bit of human pain, suffering or need – not just in the US but in all the world. Liberals try to make sure the government has more money and power every year. This is their duty! What about people who argue for limited government or constitutional rights? They would be seen as ignoramuses or even enemies of everything decent and good. After all, the government is the only real solution, isn’t it? You would surround yourselves with other “enlightened” people and liberal media to reinforce your beliefs. You would insulate yourself from any contrary thinking. Our government has grown drastically and debts ballooned to enormous size over the last 80 years. How has this worked? Have we solved all our problems? Or has it caused more problems than it solved? Natural law will asset itself and the US will come crashing down as all democratic governments have failed in the past. Unless we return to “in God we trust” and not “in government we trust,” our nation is doomed. We need to turn back this false government as savior belief and return to a government whose job it is to protect us from threats both domestic and foreign. So liberals have good intentions, but lack understanding of natural laws and inalienable rights. Man made laws cannot supersede natural laws. Laws also have unintended consequences that need to be considered. We can have compassion toward liberals and their desire to set things right, but we must take a hard look at what we are doing.
