Liberty Family Care Recipe of the Month – May Wholesome Oatmeal Clusters 3 ripe mashed bananas 1/3 cup apple sauce (get the natural unsweetened) 2 cups oats (quick cook) ¼ cup almond milk ½ cup raisins 1 tsp vanilla 1 tsp cinnamon Mix all ingredients, drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet, and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes. This is a healthy snack that helps lower cholesterol. Bananas have potassium which is important for anyone taking HCTZ or Lasix (diuretics). Diabetics can eat these as a dessert or snack, but no more than 2 at one setting.
