Licensed is a infringement of the 2nd Amendment. Being licensed is having asked the government for their permission to exercise a right that the government is not suppose to have control over. Having to have a license gives credibility to the false concept that the government does indeed have control of your right, and can grant, deny, suspend, or take it, to or from you at the governments whim. I use to believe that CCW permits had one benefit, that it required some safety training for those who may not have any firearm training at all. I have since seen the light, and realize the process for what it is. Simple government control of our right to keep and bear arms. It is the court systems of control (in some states where the court issues CCWs) where by they can protect their job security and source of income by not allowing law-abiding citizens the right to carry for protection, thereby, protecting the criminals from coming to any harm while they practice their trade. A dead citizen at the hands of a criminal is money in the bank for those who run the courts. A dead criminal is lost income, especially seeing that each criminal can generally be run through the system several times before the court actually has to do something with them. The CCW/pistol permit system is a failed experiment. It does not keep guns out of the hands of criminals, who can get them whenever they want them. It does however keep them out of the hands of the general law following public. Realize this last is the true goal of the government... to disarm its subjects, slowly, one restricting law at a time. When a criminal commits a heinous act, the politicians are the first to say, Look, we need stricter gun laws! Laws that only the law abiding will comply with, thus making it even harder for them to protect themselves in the future than is was before. Wake up and see the scam for what it is. Gun laws and licensing has little to do with preventing crime. It however has everything to do with slowly eroding our 2nd Amendment right. It been happening under our very noses for a long time now and we never saw it... time we put a stop to it.
