Life A city crowd in folds of shroud prayed for hope and rain. A distant day made of clay came riding the fated train. On its final stop - the happiness shop, Day gave what people sought. “Life is no tale of the fairy land where blossoms flow and all goes as planned.” The city crowd now on a silver cloud asked for one more day of play. A glorious sun then had magic spun and rich laughter came to stay. On its way to noon with the day of boon Sun thus had all people bought. “Let go of dreams of the distant land where fortune grows and every fate is grand.” The city crowd then grew too loud and asked for the endless rain. A neutral God weighed the odds of a life that had no pain. On its balance just greed lost to dust the God had the people taught – “Life is the Master’s duteous hand whose timely blows teach men how to stand.” Red is Absurd
