Life After War. I just wanted to check in with all my BROTHERS - TopicsExpress

Life After War. I just wanted to check in with all my BROTHERS and let you know I still think of you all everyday and miss you warriors. I have been up and down emotionally since 2010. For most of us that was a tough year. Its weird that I forget many things such as what I had for lunch, when I last showered or even what day it is, but I remember clearly the days of Sangin. I remember the smell of the cornfield, gun smoke, and bad body odor from weeks of no shower. I remember the faces of detainees, the dead, and the face of the cigarrette guy. I still feel sandflees itching me often. Being vigilant is key for survival but very inconvenient when your mind plays tricks on you making you question the integrity of every shadow including the ones in the very place you call home. Gents I needed to let some things off my chest and I encourage all to do the same. I care about the safety and well being of you all. Semper Fi
