Life can change on a dime and that is what happened with Captain Dutch. Found wandering the streets of Round Rock, Tx , dirty, emaciated, hungry and with no back feet, it seemed hard to imagine how he had survived as long as he did. His fortunes turned that day…. Although the healing process was slow, he won the heart of Carolyn and Tom and after many attempts was finally on board the airline to his new home in Colorado where he now lives with mom and dad and brother, Wyatt. It’s been a little over a month and I’m sure The Captain pinches himself every once in a while- a rags to riches story. This is what Shadow Cats is all about - we are focused on those cats that fall through the cracks, those that are in need of medical care, those that are most often killed in shelters and those that are ill or injured or aged and have little chance of adoption.
