Life doesnt happen to you, it happens for you. – Jim Carrey One of the greatest comedians of our time but this speech...this right here just made me fall in love with him all over again. This is possibly the best speech hes ever made in his lifetime. Take a lil time out to listen to what he has to say. If you really dont have the time to watch it all then skip to 10:12 and get ready to learn a thing or 2 from his intelligent and a rare serious take on life. One of my fav part of his speech (Read the last line carefully): So many of us chose our path out of fear disguised as practicality. What we really want seems impossibly out of reach and ridiculous to expect so we never dare to ask the universe for it. Im saying: Im the proof that you can ask the universe for it. My father could have been a great comedian but he didnt believe that was possible for him. So he made a conservative choice. Instead, he got a safe job as an accountant and when I was 12 years old, he was let go from that safe job and our family had to do whatever we could to survive. I learned many great lessons from my father. Not the least of which was that you can fail at what you dont want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love. Such an inspiration!
