Life is just A Memorial for Ignorance Standing here by the window pane, A hole to my soul, all filled with rain. Thinking of the way life use to be. Stuck in a loop, thoughts waiting to be free. Wading thru memories of past altercations. Wandering in the midst of trials and tribulations. Living as if there was a promise of tomorrow. Never knowing it could cause so much sorrow. A rebel without a cause can be as bad as it sounds. Not inching toward rock bottom, taking great leaps and bounds. Trying to grasp at lessons once taught, but believing only lies. Still hearing the hurt in her voice. Still seeing the pain in his eyes. Selfishness and reckless abandon, playing the devils fool. Shutting out the ones you love, never knowing you were so cruel. Thinking then you knew best, knowing now you were wrong. Hard pressed to break habitual habits after living with them so long. Past fades from this window pane, a different life now you lead. Its time now to teach the little ones, this warning they must heed. EGP
