Life is like trudging up a mountain ridge with a heavy pack and several kids and pets and all around are sinkholes and mudslides and predators and temptations. On the way you might find youve lost someone you love, gradually or instantly, for a little while or forever. You might lose your belongings or your health. You may find yourself alone. But even if you lose some or all, you may still be lucky enough to start again. Some make it to the top early and live well. Others never do, always climbing until finally they expire. And some never dare to begin. But wherever we find ourselves, whatever our burdens or losses, we must look around at what God has provided and live each day filled with joy that we are here. Breathe and taste and feel and hear the joy around you. Dont wait to reach your destination.
