Life of a dancer consists of auditions, hearing NO many times and the glorious moments of artistic freedom on a dance floor which afterglow shine gloriously in the midst of discouraging moments of rejection... Today I am deeply grateful and sad at the same time... I am happy and grateful for having made it through 2 prep classes (How fun to meet all the girls in Austin, TX, who love to dance and love to cheer for a sports team!), through the 1st round of auditions (a Saturday afternoon of non stop learning a dance routine and performing in front of judges), through the 2nd round of auditions (an interview on Sunday) and through 2 nights of training camp (I love how sore my muscles were the following morning)... but I am sad to say that I wont be on a Capitol City Dance Team for Austin Toros this season... Im letting myself cry some, eat ice cream, and watch CENTER STAGE tonight, but tomorrow is going to be another day and another chance to be a stronger, better and kinder person! I am forever blessed, even though tonight I find it hard not to feel discouraged. I am wishing the girls all the best! They all deserved it! I will cheer on Austin Toros dancers this season from audience and live my dream of dancing in other ways. By Gods Grace, I am young, healthy, strong and smart. Thank you for all the well-wishes! I thought of every one of you when preparing for each step of auditions process. I truly appreciate your sweet messages on facebook / cell / email. I consider myself rich because of all the amazing people who are my friends! I miss yall now so much... I am still so new to Austin but I am sure God will connect me to wonderful people here as well. Have a blessed Wednesday night everyone! Follow your dreams no matter what! Now is your chance.
