Lifeboat Station, Blakeney Harbour is the third painting in the series from the same viewpoint at the eastern edge of the Harbour: This one looking to the right of the wrecked whelker. A golden expanse of saltmarsh vegetation has been exposed by the low tide. Across the main channel the old Lifeboat Station sits amongst the sand dunes of Blakeney Point. It ceased housing lifeboats in 1921 and is now a visitor centre for the National Trust. The flock of Brent Geese flying past the Station was, as in the other Harbour paintings, added at a later date. The geese are characteristic, garrulous and numerous winter visitors to the area.
