Lighting Engineer ------------------------------ Responsibilities and duties: • Create project file and file received documents • Study project requirements and select products according to specifications and projects’ budget • Prepare designs, proposals of lighting systems • Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks such as AutoCAD and Dialux. • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish installation standards and specifications. • Prepare Material submittals • Prepare Material take off along with quantities (BOQ) based on design drawings and selected items • Prepare PowerPoint presentations to submit projects for clients • Coordinate all technical & commercial activities with lighting suppliers • Estimate the time required to develop a lighting solution, and negotiate the time frame with the project leader • Follow up on delivery (sales orders, orders not delivered, delays…) • Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects. • Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment. • Analyze design requirements and recommend possible or alternative solutions • Stay updated with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
