Like many of us, I have some land in this area. After the fire, a lot of trees on it needed some clearing, so I went to Sears and bought a chain saw, because on the box it said Guaranteed to cut a cord of wood a day. So the first day out, I started clearing. At the end of the day, I was surprised to find Id only cut a 1/4-cord of wood. The next day, I got an early start, stopping only for a brief lunch and knocking off when supper time came around. But after stacking up the wood, I still had only cut a 1/2-cord of wood. So the NEXT day, I got up at the crack of dawn, and I worked all day until nightfall without stopping. Even then, Id only cut about 3/4 of a cord of wood! Figuring there must be a problem with the saw, I took it back to Sears and complained to Dwan that the saw didnt perform as advertised. They put it up on the counter and started it, and I immediately had to ask, Whats that noise?! ;-)
