Liking this weather? Theres more to love: Warm, sunny day on tap for Volusia, Flagler After some patchy fog in the morning, Volusia and Flagler counties can expect another warm, sunny day, part of a trend that should last until a cool front at the end of the week. Tuesday will be sunny with highs in the mid-80s and a wind of 5 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service in Melbourne. Overnight lows will reach the lower 60s with no mention of rain in the forecast. Similar conditions are expected for the next couple of days. The approach of a cool front will be marked with a 20 percent chance of rain Thursday night and during the day Friday. While it should clear in time for trick-or-treaters, the rain will leave behind forecasted highs in the mid-70s on Saturday and into early next week. At the beach, a low to moderate threat of rip currents is expected through Thursday. Check with lifeguards for local conditions. On the roads, a crash with injuries was reported by the Florida Highway Patrol at 5:04 a.m. on southbound Interstate 95 north of the State Road 100 interchange. No incidents affecting traffic were reported in Volusia County.
