Lil man is on an antibiotic (seems monthly now) for the latest round of crud that just wouldnt quit. I was really sad about this in the past week, I have to confess. I so want to be able to knock the crummy stuff out of his lungs without antibiotics, and when that didnt happen, it felt like a failure. That topped a let-down when we couldnt score buddy boy Synagis (a medicine to protect from a severe type of cold, RSV) either by insurance appeal or by grant. Elis CF for me any way still has a lot of emotional ups and downs just more than a year into it. I let myself get sad at times when my mind got quiet. But in our weekend I re-focused. My sons smiling face, his new words of today (eat and banana), his attempts to lift the couch cushions requisite with heavay weight lifters grunts and squats, and other fun stuff. Our efforts to stick to his care mean hes growing and thriving and we feel really good about that. Other things that made me happy: Laila wearing all black today (her choice) before proclaiming When I was a little girl, I loved this song, whilst interpretive dancing to Zombie by The Cranberries. It was endearing, yet slightly creepy. My family had a great weekend together despite the fact Laila puked on me three times last night. I worked my last shift at the restaurant (worst best Dave Ramsey idea ever, getting a second job). Now I would like to do some relaxing with Mark and the buddies, and were finally going to get to! So heres to looking forward to good times and good people.
