I stared at Kenais table where he sat with his friends laughing and I recalled what he told me. The thing my dad told us kids is that Hunts Love Only Once. The boys all stood in front of me as though to protect me. Id already spotted my cousins car so I was getting excited about what was about to go down. I was itching to get my hands on Lauina and my cousins were to stop her friends and keeping it a fair fight. My cousin Lena walked forward to Tavita and I couldnt help but giggle at Tavitas expression. He looked absolutely dumbfounded. They started making out and I started getting miffed at Lena for playing her role a little too well but I knew shed fall for Tavita once she laid eyes on him. Lauina continued shouting abuse and when she swore at Tavita I lost my sh** and ran straight for her. What happened next became a blur because next thing I knew, Tavita was lifting me off Lauina as though I weighed nothing. Satisfied with the way she looked my first instinct was to walk to Samuel and boy was he angry. The lecture he gave I knew was because he was scared for me. But to do it in front of people was embarrassing to say the least. It was the first time he has ever been angry at me. We got in his car and he practically sped. Samuel slow down pls he ignored me and accelerated more. Slow down! Your scaring me! He finally let his foot off but his sharp turns into streets still had me clutching my seatbelt for dear life. Why are you so damn irresponsible? I had it under control Sam. I knew my cousins were going to show up And thats ok? And what if they didnt show up? What if Sandra and her friends were better fighters than you and your cousins? Lauina I quietly corrected. It wouldve saved me hours of over analyzing everything. Normal men ask girls out first so that they know theyre a couple or was I suppose to just assume? He hissed in frustration. He chuckled and kissed me back before lifting me back into my seat. Even if sometimes I think you need a mean fasi he winked at me with laughter in his eyes. I swatted his arm back playfully but laughed.
