Lily Grace is doing well! Her chest X-ray is looking better, her chest tube fluid is decreasing, she is FINALLY properly sedated, and the word in the CICU is that Lily will hopefully be extubated on Thursday! In order for Lily to be extubated, her creatinine level needs to continue to trend downward to ensure that she will not need dialysis. There is no medical explanation as to why Lilys kidneys are improving...but we all know better. God is in the details, even when we pray for pee! Thank you for your patience over the past two days. This weekend was extremely stressful with very little sleep or rest for me. Yesterday my two eldest daughters returned home from a two week trip to Chicago to visit my parents, brother, and extended family. I enjoyed my reunion with them here at the hospital. Today I took advantage of Lilys sedation, and I left the hospital for a couple hours to run errands. It felt amazing to do normal things for a bit, even if they were boring errands! Lily also got her hair washed this afternoon because her amazing nurse was up for the challenge. Today I am thankful for small improvements, clean hair, and no emergent crisis. Eucharisteo
