Lily has developed a painful infection around her surgery site. Her abdomen is very swollen, red, and hot to the touch. Every time anyone gets within two feet of her belly, Lily tenses up and screams. I have not been able to leave her side because she is terrified that someone will touch her. They are starting IV antibiotics, and we must pray that this infection does not become more invasive than it already is. Lily and I did crafts tonight, listened to the Life School Musical (the musical Dryden is in on Wednesday evening), and played with Barbie Potty Training Taffy that I found at Target.
