Lindas Cranberry Scones Exchange 2 Cups All Purpose flour for: 1 cup pastry flour, 1 cup fine ground wheat flour. Add: 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg to dry ingredients Exchange 1/2 cup raisins (or dried currants) for 3/4 cup fresh chopped cranberries. Increase 1/3 cup white sugar to 2/3 cups of raw sugar. Add half of sugar to chopped cranberries and set aside. Drain before mixing with dry ingredients. Add: 1/2 tsp almond extract, 1/2 tsp orange extract or 1 grated zest of orange to egg and sour cream mixture Add and Mix : 1/2 cup slivered almonds to dry ingredients with the cranberries. Follow Simple Scones recipe for mixing and baking. Frosting: Powdered Sugar Frosting with 2 tbs of cranberry juice. Sprinkle with almonds and/or sweet cranberries.
