Linnwood at 25 Byron Road Guildford. Built 1891 by George McCredie, known as Victor of The Plague in Sydney 1900. McCredie was in charge of the cleansing of The Rocks area when the plague broke out. Linnwood was designed and built by him as the familys country residence. The house still has some original fabric inside - exquisite stained and leadlight glass above each doorway in the 10 wide hallway and some original timber overmantles in the Drawing Room and Library.
