Linton giving what hes got in exactly the way he wants to give it. - TopicsExpress

Linton giving what hes got in exactly the way he wants to give it. The wit, history, rhythm, eloquence, intellect and politic of his voice all playing playfully and with pin-point accuracy in this poem. Linton knows hes a proper poet who I think recognises why he may not be seen as such by certain idiots aimlessly floating about the many sometimes absurd literary worlds we orbit. The integrity of the poet so clearly heard, aurally manifest and always powerful. I believe, certainly if youre going to read to an audience, your voice and language should have relationship. In my opinion Lintons up there with Cooper Clarke for fusing both those skills perfectly. Linton is about sound as well as language and sometimes sound dictates other ways of writing. Sound of voice yes but also the sounds of life and how sometimes life is disrupted and politically unjust, brutal n down right unfair. Lintons very aware of this but also flare and presentation, he knows how to make his rhythm beat with you and leads you with grace and skill into his dance. A wonderful craftsman, a top-notch poet and historian. Gx
