Lionel E Leconte I am usually very calm and loving but this video has made me angry because it is teaching our youths to be ashamed of their beautiful color and really exacerbates a fictional problem we should not be having in 2014. It is a mental illness to think that skin color matters when we have so many success stories in all the fields of study imaginable. The work that needs to take place in every Haitian home is a lesson in self love. We do not love ourselves and one of the prime example of our disdain for ourselves is the fact that we are the only nation on earth who uses its nationality as a curse. Many times I have heard Haitians calling their peers Haitiens in a pejorative manner. We need to take a step back and make a conscious decision to love one another regardless of class, skin color, religious or political affiliation and the survival of the entire nation depends on that... Seriously. Some of us hate President Aristide and some of us hate President Martelly... Really ? What is the sum total of all this hate ? A lost country and a lost people. Loving the enemy is indeed loving ourselves as Christ taught and it is grand time that we put in practice this wisdom of the ages. Namaste Lionel E Lecontes photo.
