List of Projects approved by Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) today (03.07.2014): (i) Construction of Sukkur-Multan section of 959 km Karachi-Lahore Motorway with rationalized cost of Rs. 259.353 billion. (ii) Land acquisition, affected properties compensation and relocation of utilities for construction of 959 km Karachi-Lahore Motorway at cost of Rs. 51 billion. (iii) Raising of 10,000 strong force of Balochistan Constabulary at cost of Rs. 5.146 billion. (iv) Flood emergency reconstruction project for bunds and canals costing Rs. 26.905 billion with financial aid of Asian Development Bank. (v) Transmission of power from wind power plants at Jhimpir and Gharo Wind Clusters located in district Thatta and Jamshoro in Sindh at cost of Rs. 11.277 billion. (vi) Acquisition of land for establishment of Free Trade Zone at Gwadar, Balochistan at cost of Rs. 6.5 billion. (v) Rehabilitation and upgradation of Trimmu Barrage and Panjnad Headworks and dualization and improvement of 64 km long Mandra-Chakwal Road.
