Listen Up you Ohio Morrisons: after about six weeks of running around from specialists to labs for TB tests, to radiologists for lung Xrays and CT scans, my young pulmonary specialist out of the blue asked if I had ever lived in Ohio. He says at one time I had histoplasmosis, which scarred my lungs and sometimes looks like lung cancer. He said histo is endemic to Ohio and that I undoubtedly had it when I lived there. Thank God, no cancer! Also, this young genius of a pulmonary specialist looks like Omar Sharif when he starred in Dr. Zhivago, one of my favorite movies. So if you start having spots on your lungs, suggest to your doc that it may only be scarring from histo.
