Listen to my heart… DISAPPEARING FROM POLICE CUSTODY? Rate This Apparently, Kenya does not need a Judiciary. We are wasting money on an arm of the government which has been made vestigial by powerfool individuals. Why do we need judges and other judicial officers when the masters of impunity have usurped the court’s role? Why the heck do we need the courts when our uniformed robots mistakenly believe that they are the prosecutor, judge and executioner all in one? Based on the bulb/billboard/mattress law as invented by Mr. Syegeh, Kenya is becoming a weird place to live in. So somebody was arrested in full glare of cameras, handcuffed and escorted into the black maria by several armed uniformed robots. Enroute to Makwapa Police Station, he jumped out of the moving vehicle and disappeared into thin air together with government handcuffs. An unarmed but handcuffed civillian suspect managed to outrun graduates of Kiganjo and Embakasi who had vehicles and none was cuffed. He must be Superman, Spiderman, Robocop, Sinbad, Conan, Zorro, Tarzan and Popeye rolled into one. We all know that failure to prevent escape from lawful custody is a crime under the Kenyan law. It borders on aiding an escapee. But it is suspicious that the accomplices of the alleged escape have not been taken to any court to answer for their incometence and ‘negligence’. Are they untouchable? As I post this, the wherebout of the suspect is still unknown. Whether alive or dead, the government has failed to produce one of its citizens. We can only hope for the best whilst being prepared for anything from our domestic terrorists who reign terror on relatives of suspects. On that note, I believe I have a solution to the mystery of the missing suspect. Kenyan cops love money more than anything else. If a juicy reward could be offered, trust me the suspect would mysteriously ‘run back to Makwapa Police Station with his cuffs on’. Bwanake Mamako © 2014
