Listen to this - it is short and a beautiful way to start your day. While researching my end of the year jazz obituary programs for 2014, I learned that a few more of my friends have died. I admit, these are people I have spent hours with via a turntable inside a radio station control room but never knew. Frank Strazzeri was on singer Nancy Kings First Date session as the pianist (1976) and he was excellent. Jazz is full of unsung heros like Strazzeri - experts at the craft. I learned he was also friends with Elvis Presley - he played on Aloha from Hawaii with the King (and toured with him from 1971-1974).
