Listened to my dad preach one of the best sermons tonight Id ever heard in my entire life..... This Old man sees a little boy carrying a cage full of birds down the road. The old man asks the little boy what he had planned to do with the birds and the little boy replies, Im gonna play with them for a while, then give them to my cat. So the old man asks how much hed take for the birds. The little boy made his price, the old man paid the little boy, opened the cage door and set the birds free. Most of the birds flew out right away, but there was a few reluctant, and hung around until the old man pecked in the cage and shewed them away. Now comes the part that ALL of us need to realize... Imagine the devil has each and every one of us in a cage. Then one day, Jesus sees him walking down this road. He asks the devil what he was going to do with us, and the devil says hes gonna play with us for a while, then send us to hell!!! So Jesus asks the devil how much he would take for him to let him have us....and the devil replies, YOUR LIFE!!! People, Jesus died to SET US FREE!!! The cage door is open, and even though some of us are reluctant to be set free, Jesus already paid for you to go through the door!!! God has truly blessed my father with the gift of spreading his word!!! Such a touching and true sermon...I only wish my friends and family would listen, understand, and make that extra step towards Jesus!!! Love you all and pray you have a good night!!! God Bless!!
