Listening to Mike Schlesingers audio commentary for GODZILLA 2000 while making my final push for Godzilla: Rulers of Earth issue 14... Yknow, theres some really nice stuff in this, but MAN is a lot of this movie kind of tepid and half-assed. Especially some of these extremely dull shots of Godzilla, like when he appears in Tokyo Bay, its the most boring angle they could have come up with. Conversely, I love the battle with the cables from underground. That has some nice stuff to it. And the American cut is QUITE superior - love these sound effects. And shout-out to one of the best trio of protagonists in the recent films.
