Listening to the radio this morning, and the subject of Detroit - TopicsExpress

Listening to the radio this morning, and the subject of Detroit city pensioners was brought up. Americans, in general, can be a caring bunch when it comes to helping victims of natural disasters , tsunamis , earthquakes , etc. I would like to know where the outrage is over our cities pensioners who got screwed out of their pensions. Im talking about police , firefighters , garbage workers , all who are seniors or close to it. Where is the empathy for these people that EARNED their pensions in good faith. When did we start caring more for strangers , than our neighbors , it is sad and sickening. These people depend on their pensions to survive , just as people in some cases depended on them for their survival. We have become a cold and heartless bunch in this country. This isnt about democrats or republicans , its about people , americans who played by the rules and in the end were told too bad. Have we become that callous about what happens to our neighbors , seniors ,PEOPLE. Has it come to the point where , i got mine ,is the norm. If thats the case folks , we are in a lot worse shape than you even know.
