Little things make big things happen - John Wooden ~~~~~~~~~~ Hi Emin and Matt, I’m back in Canada as of a few days ago, and wanted to pass along a huge thank you from myself and my team. The taekwondo program we ran at the Olive Branch was one of the most successful and dynamic elements of the entire camp. The white belt test was an amazingly positive way to finish the program, and the kids took real pride in receiving their belts. I will be sending them videos and instructions for next steps as they progress. I plan on returning to the Olive Branch in a couple of years. One bit of sad news… my phone was lost on our way back on one of our many, many flights. The taekwondo photos were all on there, and because we didn’t have internet, they weren’t backed up. Absolutely heartbreaking. The only photo we found is the one below… before the belts had the kids’ names, and when the phone (in the pic) was still alive :). I have asked Deborah to send a group photo of the kids with their belts and some practice shots, so stay tuned. For now, take a look at a video a volunteer made of them having a practice the next day after we left!
