Liv went to the library with her new friend. I actually told her she had to call the girl to organize it and she hated me for it because Liv really has a difficult time making phone calls, ordering food at a restaurant or buying things at a cash register...all things that require interaction with people that might come with eye contact and/or something unexpected. It raises her anxiety level....but...SHE DID IT! How, you ask, do I know she hated me for making her make the telephone call??? Well, because this... Me: Give her a call and set up when you guys wanna meet! Liv: NO!!! You call!!! Me: No, I think you can do it. Heres the number... Liv: (dialling and whispering) I hate you... Me: Hahahahahaha....yes, I know So they met and I guess they were chatting away and the librarian had to come over a couple of times to tell them to be quiet... You need to understand that these two girls are such quiet beings that I can hardly believe they uttered a sound above a whisper...and rules??? Aspies LOVE to follow rules, so Olivia was completely appalled that she had broken a rule and needed to be spoken to... And after I laughed my head off (inside my own head) because yeah, she got SHUSHED by a librarian...(insert a disapproving shake of the head and a tsk tsk tsk...followed by hysterical laughter), I immediately wanted to go back into the library and create a scene where I spoke in a really loud voice to the mean old librarian, HEY!!!! YOU!!!! Old lady librarian!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW BIG THIS IS FOR THESE 2 GIRLS???? DO YOU GET THAT THESE GIRLS ARE ACTUALLY HAVING A GOOD TIME AND PARTICIPATING IN A RECIPROCAL CONVERSATION AND MIGHT BE HAVING A LAUGH OR TWO...QUIT BEING A MEAN OLD COW!!! Ok, I didnt do that...but I really, REALLY wanted to... I wasnt there so I really cant judge but if I was a betting woman, Id be placing a LARGE wager that they werent bothering anyone.
