Live action PGSM Jadeite stands by his queen As the Dark Kingdom collapsed around them, Jadeite freely chose to remain beside Queen Beryl instead of leaving. Beryl’s comment that she is “tired of playing make-believe queen” suggests that, at least for PGSM, Beryl’s “royalty” was self-appointed, perhaps during the past life. Jadeite’s voluntary loyalty to Beryl, unique among the Shitenneou, is perhaps rooted in events and feelings from the past life. My speculation is that, when Beryl was jealously spying on Endymion and Serenity’s kiss, perhaps Jadeite was spying on and admiring Beryl from a distance. It raises an interesting prospect: what if Beryl had accepted Jadeite’s feelings for her back in the past life, instead of bringing in Queen Metallia and leading a violent rebellion?
