Live from 80 years ago!!! Gigli and Favero in the entire Balcony Scene from Romeo, sung in Italian, from La Scala in April of 1934. This is not only extremely historical, but extremely gorgeous singing of heavenly music. At about 14:00 Gigli begins his apostrophe to Giulietta in the most honeyed mezza voce ever. It carries over all, and ends on the most delicate piano F which he holds and gets even softer to virtual inaudibility! For me, this is among the most gorgeous singing I have ever heard.
