Live life by stepping out of your comfort zone. :-) Ever sit in your thoughts and wonder why things are the way they are? What it would have been like if things may have been different and you wish you could magically go back in time and take a right instead of left? Have you ever wondered if you could go back in time and are confronted with the choice of taking a right or left that you would choose differently? Are you sure that you would take a different path? What if you didnt stop and debate on which way to go, struggling with thoughts like what if I went this way, what if I went that way etc. Well... What if you didnt stop at all, and you just kept moving; going with the flow of life and observing where it takes you and finding the meaning behind it. What is your meaning in life? What kind of life are you living? Are you doing what you want to do, or are you doing what you are meant to do? Are you one of the few that are doing both? Ask yourself this question… Do you really care what anyone thinks of you? Would you feel embarrassed if your friend or loved one started dancing in the middle of a grocery store? Would you get mad? Would you laugh and maybe join in? Would you not care if it was 3am at Walmart with no one around? Would you act, think, and feel differently if it was 3pm, with a lot of people around staring, laughing and giving strange looks your way? Most people would say that they do not care what others think of them and they are confident enough to be themselves and have fun in life, stepping out of their comfort zone and can accept challenges. The real challenge is being honest with yourself. Answer this question to yourself. 1. If you were in a situation where you were confronted with an opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and do something different that may be fun, would you? I am going to share a short story about observing 2 guys doing a social experiment on people stepping out their comfort zone. It was interesting, intriguing and also a breath of fresh air. (I should do a social experiment on how many people actually read a post longer than 200 words ) I got out of work around 10pm the other night and I was walking around where ever my inner compass lead me. I was taking pictures of words that I see on anything that jumps out to me. It could be advertisements, building names, or a flyer that is posted on a telephone pole, it doesn’t, matter. I create my own positive story from things, and at time words from observing myself listening to what I feel and feeling what I’m hearing; watching the waves of my thoughts with a non-judgmental eye., As I walk from moment to moment absorbing what’s around me, being mindful and curious preventing myself from putting on the cruise control to my thoughts. It was not more than ten minutes and a few pictures later, I look across the street and see a guy dancing to a beat that I assumed was unknown to me because this form of dancing must have been taking from a red bull drinking monkey with lice. I became curious, it is in my nature and I did just ‘coincidentally’ take a picture of a ‘sign’ that said curious; what a coincidence (or was it synchronicity?). I realized that the guy dancing was being recorded by someone I could of swore was on some form of inline skates by the elegance of his haphazard movements recording the dancing monkey-like man. I went across the street with the intention of recording something you do not see every day, and finding an inspiration to write about. I got more of an inspiration than I expected (seems to happen often when ‘in the flow’). When the music stopped, I was confronted and asked to dance? At that moment my brain smiled because I knew exactly what was going on, but I was unclear of the intention. These two men were doing a social experiment to get people to do something unexpected, and fun. All they had to do was step out of their comfort zone and dance in the middle of the side walk, while getting recorded for that matter. What I observed was interesting to say the least, but not very surprising… (Finish tomorrow) Positive+Love+Happy Life youtu.be/YKA7l3MyITc?list=UUbqqccHkElVCUY4d-PHbS8Q
