Liverpool U21 v Villa U21: Young guns look to bounce back 02-12-2013 Villa U21s return to action on Merseyside. Gordon Cowans hopes his Villa young guns can bounce back when they return to Barclays U21 Premier League action against Liverpool tonight. The claret and blues are looking to put last weeks League Cup defeat to Fulham behind them when they travel to Langtree Park - the home of rugby league giants St Helens - tonight. The cup clash against the Cottagers was a cagey affair but three late goals saw Villa crash out of the new competition. Now attention returns to the league as Cowans team face an in-form Reds outfit who have won five games out of eight so far. Weve got to try and bounce back and get something at Liverpool and hopefully we will, said coach Cowans. We didnt get what we wanted against Fulham. I thought in the first half they were the better side but in the second we improved and 3-0 flattered them. We both had decent chances but we were just disappointed with the end of the game. Cowans had an experienced side available last week with first team stars Jed Steer, Chris Herd, Nicklas Helenius and Jordan Bowery getting some game time. But goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist and winger Jordan Graham departed on loan to Burton and Ipswich respectively on Friday. {\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252 {\fonttbl} {\colortbl;\red255\green255\blue255;} } Follow out live audio and text commentary from tonights clash, which kicks off at 7pm.
